My great grandfather Edward William Young moved from Giddings Tx to Palo Pinto to work for the T&P Railroad. He was a dispatcher. He died in Palo Pinto in July of 1882. My big question is why? He was only 31 years old. Are there records of epidemics of typhoid or other diseases from that time period. He left a wife and six children the youngest being my grandfather. His widow Bettie Jane Bowles Young married William Hittson in 1890 in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., . They were living in Palo Pinto on the 1900 census with a 10 year old daughter Adela. Anyone knowing cause of death and possible buriel place for Edward WiIliam will become my lifelong friend. I have been looking for Edward William Young death information for years.
