Hi, My grandparents and great-grandparents, as well as a few other relatives, are buried in the Old Gordon Cemetery, in Gordon. I have long wondered why there is an "Old" Gordon Cemetery and a "New" Gordon Cemetery? They're basically right next to each other, so I assume there must be a story there. Why wasn't the "Old" Gordon Cemetery simply expanded at some point? I note that although the Old Gordon Cemetery has some older graves, there is significant overlap in the dates between the Old and the New. Anyway, any explanation, history, or pointers anyone can give would be most helpful. Thanks, Larry McQueary
