    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: DILLAHUNTY, SNELLING, DRAPER, GRAGG, HUGHES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CmB.2ACI/76.77.78.225.1 Message Board Post: My book, _The Family of William Snelling and Sarah Scott_, shows that Sarah Ellen "Ella" Snelling, born Dec 1854 in Missouri (later censuses erroneously say California) married on 9 Feb 1871, Palo Pinto County, Texas, Henry Clayton "Buck" Dillahunty, born Jan 1852, son of Joseph Henry and M. Louise Poe Dillahunty. Ellen, as she was known to her family and to her aunt, uncle, and cousin who brought her to Texas within a month or two before her marriage, was the daughter of William and Clarissa Draper Snelling. This William, who was murdered in the town of Snelling, California, in 1857, was a geandson of William and Sarah Scott Snelling. Buck died in 1921; Ella died in 1940; both are buried in the Higgins Cemetery in Lipscomb County, Texas. Beulah Dillahunty (1874-1968), Buck and Ella's second child married, in 1893, A. Lee Gragg (1866-1935). Both are buried at Higgins, Lipscomb County, Texas. Beulah and Lee had seven children that I know of, of whom Vada was the third. She married John Hughes and they had at least one child, Euola Hughes, born 6 Mar 1930 in Lipscomb County. Sorry, that's all I know about the Hughes family, other than that Vada died 19 Jun 1952 and is buried at the Higgins Cemetery. I presume you are the Lisa Eggleston who is listed in a Lipscomb county history as one of the great-grandchildren of Lee and Beulah Gragg.
