Surnames: Chick Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CmB.2ACI/835.1 Message Board Post: Hi there, I am a great, great, great grandson of James Henry Chick (1833-1909) and have a Family Archive CD that tells me a Robert Greenwell Chick (1858-1937) married a Mary Jane Kimbrough (1866-1933). It makes sense to me that their first boy may have been named Robert based on the apparent habit of the family keeping names going. Robert Greenwell Chick was the first son of James Henry Chick of Palo Pinto (1833-1909) and Darcus Jane Greenwell (1835-1918). My grandfather (Clarence Eddy Chick) tells great stories and the Kimbrough name has been mentioned many times so I would think these were the same clan. If anyone has anything about the parents of Robert Powell Chick and/or Carrie Belle Rodgers I would appreciate it. I believe them to be the parents of James Henry Chick (1833-1909) of Palo Pinto, TX.
