Robert was the brother of my late grandmother, Essie Mae Smith Adkins of Olney, Young County. Robert was born in Bremond, Robertson County, TX in the late 1880s, early 1890s -- one of four, possibly five sons of Sam Allen Smith and Ada Stanford.
