I am researching James A. Wilson who was born in Cedar Co., Missouri in 1859 son of James Wilson and Mary E. Morton. James Wilson died and Mary Morton Wilson married Alexander Eason. James A. Wilson married Ora Evans in Jack Co., TX 10-18-1882. Alexander Eason and family were in Palo Pinto Co. and enumerated in the 1880 census. They later were in Jack Co. I am not sure why James A. and Ora were married in Jack Co. Possibly they were both working there. I believe Ora was the daughter of A. B. and Louisa Evans of Anderson Co. in 1880 census. Family tradition is that James A. Wilson went to Mexico with John M. Eason, his half-brother, and neither were heard of again. However, records indicate that John M. Eason was found guilty of forgery, possible over a land dispute. He was convicted on 12 Jan 1887 and while he was awaiting appeal he escaped. (All of this has to be documented and I am working on that.) My guess is that John (who was younger than James) and James Wilson teamed up and went to Mexico. John Eason was married Ella Roberts in 1886 also in Jack Co. but they divorced in the early 1890s. I assume she remarried. It would be helpful to learn the name of her second husband. I have not found that Ora Wilson remarried or divorced James, or perhaps had him declared dead. That still remains a possibility. If anyone has information on any of these families, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you. Connie Bradbury
