    3. Hello, I am not sure when my Daniel W. Shaver Sr. family arrived in Palo-Pinto Co., TX but my gr grandmother Josephine S. Shaver Barr Davis 's 1st husband Kenson McVay Barr died and was buried in Palo-Pinto, TX March 01, 1881. She then married John Mack Davis (a Native American) sometime between the death of her 1st husband and the arrival of my grandmother Ollie Josephine Davis , December 1883, in Jack Co., TX. Shaver Sr. married Saphira Dorsey on 08-30-1848 in Arkansas. Daniel Shaver died 03-08-1897 in Palo-Pinto TX. and Saphira died 01-05-1910 Palo-Pinto, TX. both are buried in the Sturdivant Cemetery in Palo-Pinto, TX. Children of Daniel Sr. and Saphira Shaver: 1. Mary (or May) Elizabeth Snider Scott (1839-1914) and her husband S.A.? Scott are buried in Sturdivant Cemetery. I have very little info. There were apparently grandchildren. This may be a second marriage for Mary Elizabeth, so don't know if she had children. If any of you have information about these families, I'd love to hear from you. Happy diggin'! Nancy

You are correct that the Nall (e) family came through Red River County, in fact they came from TN in the Wavell colonization about 1819. Frank Nall was known to be alive as late as 1927 when a legal issue concerning land which had been owned by his late mother Mitte Robinson Nall came to court, but I have been unable to find any information other than the above statement. Thanks again for your response.

The Palo Pinto County website at TxGenWeb has a page on the Brad Cemetery: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txpalopi/BradCem.html On the page are the names, addresses and phone numbers of the folks who surveyed the cemetery, as well as the email address for two of them. 3. Carole, Sorry that I don't have any information on your King or Boyd families, but Lone Cedar could be a town that has since disappeared. You may have to write to the county seat and ask, since I couldn't find that anywhere on the map. I just learned of three "towns" in a neighboring county here in Montana that are no longer there (not even a building). I was surprised since I have been on the road where these "towns" were many times, and these were towns that were there in the beginning of the 20th century.
