Tx Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Orange?read=217 Surname: GRANGER, GUIDRY ------------------------- **GRANGER, FRANK F., “2ND LIEUTENANT”, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in the fall of 1861, and served “Honorably” as a “2nd Lieutenant” in Company “I”, 13th Texas “Cavalry”, “Flowernaughts”, C.S.A., later “Dismounted”. This was the second Confederate Company formed in Orange County, Texas. “Lieutenant” Granger gave his life in battle, for his Countries “Cause”, the “Cause” of Liberty!” (note: Company “I” was formed in Orange County, Texas.) GRANGER, GEORGE, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, and served “Honorably” in Company “E”, 11th “Spaight’s Battalion”, Texas Volunteers”, “Dismounted Cavalry” “Infantry”, C.S.A. (note: Company “E” was formed at Jefferson County, Texas.) GRANGER, MICHAEL, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in February, 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “I”, “Burnett’s Regiment of “Infantry” “Dismounted Cavalry”, “Flowernaughts”,“Walker’s Division”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service in May, 1865, by Captain S. A. Fairchild, of that regiment “!3th” “Texas Infantry”, at which time he held the rank of “Private”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 10445. (note: Company “I” was formed in Orange County, Texas.) GRANGER, T., Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America and served “Honorably” in Company “B”, 11th “Spaight’s Battalion”, “Artillery”, “Texas Volunteers”, C.S.A. (note: Company “B”, spent most of the War stationed at Sabine Pass, Texas. Company “B” was formed in Jefferson County (Sabine Pass), Texas.) GUIDRY, S., Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America and served “Honorably” in Company “D”, 11th “Spaight’s Battalion”, “Texas Volunteers”, “Infantry”, C.S.A. (note: Company “D” was formed in Tyler County, Texas.)
