(note: Company E was formed in Jefferson Copunty, Texas. Later on Company E became Company B.) BLOCK, C. F., Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America and served Honorably in Company I, 13th Texas Cavalry, Flowernaughts, C.S.A, later Dismounted. (note: Company I was formed in Orange County, Texas.) BLOCK, CHARLES, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America and served Honorably in Company B, Spaights Battalion. Artillery, Texas Volunteers, C.S.A. (Note: Company B, Artillery spent most of the War at Sabine Pass, Texas. Company B was formed at Jefferson County (Sabine Pass), Texas.) BLOCK, CHARLES LEWIS, (Plot 5; Evergreen Cemetery), Born: 12th Day of June, 1836. Died: 07th Day of September, 1910. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America and served Honorably as a Private in Company B, 13th Texas Infantry, C.S.A. Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 39559. BLOCK, FREDRICK WILLIAM, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in June, 1862, and served Honorably as a Private in Company B, 11TH Spaights Battalion, Cavalry of Texas, C.S.A. He was at His time of enlistment a resident of Jefferson County, Texas. He was Honorably discharged from said service in May, 1865, by Colonel A. W. Spaight at Sabine Pass, Texas. At which time He held the rank of Private. (Information obtained from Southern Cross of Honor application His writing). Received a Confederate Pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 03203. (note: Company B was formed in Jefferson County (Sabine Pass), Texas.)
