Hey list!! I'm looking for further information about Thomas PECK,my 2nd great grandfather. Is there any way for me to find out if he is listed in the 1940-1950 census or on a tax list? Wouldn't it be Jefferson Co. since Orange Co.,TX. orginated in 1852? Do I have to go to a different web site? He supposely married a widow woman Eliza(BROWN maiden name)POWELL in Orange Co. abt.1853. I think that he might have also been a widower since he was abt 45 yrs when he married Eliza. I'm also hoping to find him with another family before Eliza. I believe Odessa is in Ector County, not Orange County and Ranger is in Eastland County. Both are a bit removed from Orange county.
