    2. This obituary will be online till 7/5/03. Captain Leslie O'dell Lynch, 77, JAG Coprs, U.S. Navy (Retired), died Friday, May 2, 2003 at a Fort Worth hospital. Captain Lynch was born in Corsicana, Texas, June 15, 1925 the son of Mack A. and Dora Adamson Lynch. He attended and graduated from public schools in Corsicana. In 1942, he entered Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, Texas, where he met and courted Jeanne Fox, later to become his wife. In March 1943, he enlisted in the Navy as Apprentice Seaman. He was later selected for officer training, and upon being commissioned as Ensign in the Naval Reserve, he was married on July 7, 1945 to Jeanne Fox. Thereafter, he served on a cruiser in the western Pacific until he was released from active duty in March 1946. Captain Lynch then resumed his education, receiving a law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1950. AFter a brief law practice, he was recalled to active duty in the Navy, where he served for eighteen months in the Pacific area on the USS O'Bannon, a destroyer, seeing combat in and around Korea.. In September 1952, he was transferred to legal duties in Washington, D.C. Thereafter, he was selected for the Regular Navy, and continued with legal duties until his retirement on June 30, 1973. While he was serving as Navy and Marine Corps Military Judge for the southeastern United States, based at Pensacola, Florida. Upon retirement fromthe Navy, Captain Lynch assumed the duties of Clerk of the Thirteenth Court of Civil Appeals in Corpus Christi, Texas, upon the retirement from the post by a wonderful friend, Magaret Blackmon. In 1974, he entered the private practice of law until his retirement therefrom in 1983, primarily due to reasons of health of himself and wife, Jeanne. In 2002, following his wife's death, Captain Lynch relocated to Fort Worth to be closer to his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, August 11, 2001 and his loving youngest daughter, Melanie Jeanne Lynch, October 22, 1993. Survivors include son, Leslie O. Lynch, Jr. of Tiburon, California; daughter, Stephanie Charlene Lynch Bertani of Exeter, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren: Murphy Charles Lynch, Robert Leslie Lynch, Katharine Diane Lynch, Richard James Bertani, Jr., Michael Geoffrey Bertani, Kate Natalie Bertani, and Stephen Fox Bertani. Funerals were held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 3, 2003 at Blessing Colonial Chapel, Mansfield. Entombment will be Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 10:00 A.M. in the Seaside Mausoleum, Corpus Christi, Texas.
