Neva Humphries-Heckman passed away July 30, 2004 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born to Hardy Ernest and Martha Jane Brumbelow Ross in Blooming Grove, Texas (Navarro Co.) on October 22, 1909. She was married to C.F.(Shorty) Humphries in 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma and resided in Waxahachie, Texas until relocating to Corpus Christi, Texas 70 years ago. For many years Neva worked in real estate. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is preceded in death by husbands, C.F (Shorty) Humphries and Harry Heckman, four sisters and one brother. She is survived by three children; Ross Humphries (Jane) of Victoria, TX, Joyce AuBuchon (Harvey) of Palo Alto, CA and Joy Humphries of Oroville, WA. Mark AuBuchon, Randy Humphries, Annette Boyd, Larry Humphries and Kathy Patton are surviving grandchildren. There are seven great- grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at Seaside Memorial Park on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation hours will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on August 1, 2004 and from 9:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. on August 2, 2004. published in Corpus Christi Caller Times 08/01/2004
