Hello Jane, I have a couple of surnames that match yours -- My Browns came from Lauderdale County Mississippi before and after the Civil War. Looney's are a distant connection on the other side. My Looney's were in Cherokee County, Texas, in the mid 1800's. As far as I know those two lines are not connected. Any matches?
