For many years, I have contended that the General Land Office is the poster child for public service. The employees there are the most congenial and helpful of any office I have ever walked into or communicated with by phone or correspondence. It has not mattered who was the Commissioner - the service has been superior under all of them. We are lucky to have this treasure trove in our state. Of course, it is the place to get not only maps but the original land grants/patents our early settlers received. Diana White ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward L.
