Hi-- I am sending a partial list and will try to send the others tomorrow. Thank all of you that sent me a URL link for birth/death/marriage links. I had a lot of requests if someone sent it to me, they would like it also. Below are the links I received and to make sure I don't forget someone I am sending to all the lists I am on and where I posted the question. All the lists I am on are great!!!! Thank each and every one of you. I have them and the genealogy room has them and they are great. ----------------------------- I haven't been able to make the web site you referred to work in quite a while, but it is as follows: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~czech/birthindex.html ------------------------------------ The Texas Department of Health compiled birth, death, marriage and divorce records for some years. They put the files on a website. They received a lot of flack from privacy advocates and pulled the files. However, before that was down they were downloaded by members of the USGenWeb Texas Archives project. The files were by year. They were broke down into counties by volunteers and posted in the Archives. > Here is the county index for the Texas Archives. > http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/txcounties.htm > Most counties also have search engines where you can search for specific surnames. > -------------------------------------- click here: Texas Marriages Search Engine 1966-2002 > > http://www.genlookups.com/texas_marriages/ > > Scroll down to "Older Texas Marriages Search" and put in a name. First let me say that I am not trying to sell the following product and get nothing from this endorsement... I also have the set of 11 CD's that contain the TX Vital Records that were on-line.... that Janice referrs to here in her message. It is simply great. Even better than the records when they were online because they have taken additional information that was on the original records and not put online and put them on the CD records. I have been notified that they are putting out a new Viewer that will do even better searches, and I believe it will be free to those that already have the CD's, so Janice... you and the genealogy room need to check into that because I already have it and I like it much better even though the previous one was good. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ms.J.HANCOCK" <janiceh@airmail.net> To: <TXNAVARR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2004 12:16 AM Subject: [TXNAVARR] URL FOR TEXAS VITAL RECORDS > Hi-- > > > > I am sending a partial list and will try to send the others tomorrow. > > Thank all of you that sent me a URL link for birth/death/marriage links.
