Jacqueline Via Lynn passed away Friday, April 16, 2004 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was 88. Mrs. Lynn was born October 2, 1915 in Corsicana, Texas to Talmage and Katherine Via. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James. W. Lynn; her son and family, DeWitt, Patsy Lynne and Melinda Gayle Lynn; and her sister, Katherine Valley. Jacqueline and her husband lived in Alice most of their lives and were owners of Lynn and Haner Flying Service before going into the ranching business in Belton, Texas. They subsequently returned to South Texas and owned ranches in Live Oak and Jim Wells counties, operated as Lynn Ranches, Inc. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alice. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Ed) Tilley of Corpus Christi; her son, Bill (Suzanne) Lynn of Fredericksburg, her brother, Clifton Via of Kingsland, Texas; four grandchildren Cindy (Bruce) Raybourn, Dee Dee (Jerry) Knandel, Jamie (Gary) Page, and Brent (Amy) Lynn; and five great-grandchilren. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00pm, Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the Alice Cemetery. Pastor Bernard Ritchea, First United Methodist Church of Alice, will be officiating.
