I subscribed to the Historial Newspaper part of ancestry a couple of months ago. I found it absolutely useless. Hard to read and you had to inch thru each column and sometimes it was only a last name which had nothing to do with the person I was looking for. So I cancelled it and got a refund after several calls. I do enjoy using the census pages. Did you know that both the 1860 and 1870 census are now every name indexed. This surely helps if you have a common name and dont know the parents name but do know a child's name. Saves a lot of clicks. -----Original Message----- From: Ms.J.HANCOCK [mailto:janiceh@airmail.net] Sent: Friday, May 07, 2004 12:55 AM To: Ann Hill Cc: TXNAVARR-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TXNAVARR] FW: Ancestry If all people will stick together and stop their subscriptions to ancestry.com and send a copy to rootsweb maybe they will stop before they price themselves out of business.
