    3. Lilly, From what I know, our two lines don't seem to be related. My George D. Martin did not come to Navarro County until 1913, probably after losing his farm in Cherokee County. George was born in Butler County, Alabama and ended up in Texas after being released from a military prison in Illinois at the close of the Civil War. Though I must say, I do not know *why* he came to Navarro County, perhaps he had relatives there. I do know that his people all came from Butler County, AL. --Patrick >From: "Lilly" <malik@scs-net.org> >To: "Patrick Martin" <contrite1@hotmail.com> >Subject: Re: [TXNAVARR] MARTIN/CEMETERY LOOKUP >Date: Sun, 16 May 2004 18:56:22 +0200 > >Hello, >I am a descendant of the Martin family who arrived in Navarro Co in 1878. >In the 1880 census at www.familysearch.org you will see 4 Martin households >listed, I am related to all of them. > >William Martin b. 1826 NC, to Joseph Martin b. 1857 TN, to Joe Martin b. >1899 TX, to Joe Martin b. 1925 OK (my father). > >Any connection? >Best regards, >Lillian Kathleen Martin >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Patrick Martin" <contrite1@hotmail.com> >To: <TXNAVARR-L@rootsweb.com> >Sent: Sunday, May 16, 2004 11:43 PM >Subject: [TXNAVARR] MARTIN/CEMETERY LOOKUP > > > > Hello all.
