There is a Rufus Pevehouse that was a Sheriff in Navarro County that my dad, Ernest Fullwood, knew and always talked about. His, I believe, nephew is a memeber of the Geneaological Society here in Corsicana. Rufus was the grandson of David Arthur Pevehouse and Malinda Pierce. They are buried in the Pevehouse Cemetery west of Frost, I believe. David is the brother of my husband's 2nd great grandfather, John Pevehouse.
