    3. Thanks for the info. I will be on the lookout for the Martin names you mentioned as I continue researching the Navarro link. I'm very intrigued as to why G.D. Martin moved to Purdon at age 70 in 1913. He filed for a Civil War pension in 1914, after having evidently lost his farm in Cherokee County. Why does an indigent elderly couple move to Purdon? I'm hoping that it's because other Martin relatives were living there. George and Viola had a 17 year old daughter named Mary or "Ola" [born 1892-93] living with them as of 1910. Perhaps she got married and moved to Navarro County. There were also sons named Loyd and Porter [born 1876 and 1878 respectively]. There were other children but I do not know their names. Also I have not yet located George in the cemetery records. He moved to Navarro County when he was 70 years old and I expect he probably died there -- though he could have gone on somewhere else. If he were found in the 1920 census for Navarro, he'd be around 74-77 years old, so it is conceivable that he might have lived until then. I really need to send a request to the County Clerk for a death record lookup for George and Viola... --Patrick
