    3. I'm new to your list and want to ask a question. Do any of you have anything on a J A MCKINNEY that may have lived in Navarro Co in 1873? He was born 1850 in Lincoln Co., TN, to H William McKinney and Elizabeth Pigg Wakefield McKinney. The family was on the 1850 and 1860 census for LCT. I think, but don't know if it is so, that the family may have gone to MS before the Civil War. He was too young for service, so can find no Civil War records. The father died in 1867 and the family appears in Hill Co., TX buying land by that year. Elizabeth McKinney and William Henry McKinney, her son, were both buying land in their own name. Also my grand-father, John McKinney purchased land there. I do have a land deeds record dated September, 1885, in Hill Co., TX that his brother arranged for him. Evidently he did not live in the county at that time. He was not on the 1870 census for Hill Co with his mother and two sisters. I appreciate any help you can give me. Dortha McElroy Greenlee
