TX.; md.(2) Myrta "Mertie" Eliza Lawson, 8 Sept 1879 Nacogdoches Co. TX. I am looking for any information which leads to the parentage of spouse (1) Elizabeth B. (Coats) Stephens. I have not found Marion Whitfield & Elizabeth B. (Coats) Stephens on any 1880 Census. There was one child, a son, born of this marriage: Marion I. Stephens, b. 4 Dec 1883; d. 2 Feb 1938; buried: Isbell Chapel Cemetery, Rusk Co. TX; md. (1) Ola Boyett and md (2) Lillah L. Vardeman. Marion Whitfield Stephens is on the 1890 Tax List, Nacogdoches Co. TX., & at this time, would be md. to spouse (2) Myrta "Mertie" Eliza (Lawson) Stephens.
