Hello, my name is Andrea and I am descended from William McElder Vaught who was married to Lavina Means. She was a daughter of Clement Means. His name has been written as Clement and Clemen. I was just today going over some microfilm and found several marriage cert's where Clement Means was the minister who married the couple. Lavina is not my line but I do have some info on the family. I also found today a marriage cert. for Clemen Means to a Nancy King on 12/8/1867 in Nacogdoches co. Texas. I still have the microfilm and I need to look further into him because on the 1870 census it shows him married to a Polly. William McElder Vaught and Lavina Means had 1 child together before she died. His name is William Lafayette Vaught. If I can help with anything please let me know.
