I'm working on research into old roads into Texas, particularly Trammel's Trace, and am interested in any diary or other first-hand accounts you may be familiar with that talk about: - routes of migration - ferry crossings - conditions of roads and trails - distances from one point to another - rivers, landmarks, settlements - any mention of roads, trails My period of interest is from 1800 through 1845. I know this is a broad request, but what I am looking for is in those tiny tidbits and gems that are in first-hand accounts of the conditions and events surrounding travels to and through Texas.
