This was going to be my theory: On the 1900 Census, Isaac J. And Rebecca Rogers seem to be the only couple in Douglas old enough, and both from Alabama, to be the parents of your Dock. On the 1880 Census in Nacogdoches, Pct-1, Isaac and Rebecca have a son listed, Richmond, age 1. I was going to suggest that Richmond's full name could be Dock Richmond (D.R.) Rogers. But, I found a One World Tree posting that this Richmond died in 1885. I have not found any proof of this yet and, if inaccurate, this could be your Dock. Of course, you are aware that Dock Rogers and family are found on the 1910 Census in Newton Co. And, also, that Etta and 2nd husband Jesse Gladden are buried in the Cushing Cemetery. That's all I know, however, this exercise may help me on my own family tree. On the 1900 Census, Isaac Rogers and family was living next door to George Jefferson Rogers. I suspect that they are brothers. George Jefferson also had a son named Richmond, b. 1899, who was the 1st husband of my grand-aunt Rosa Lee Pitts.
