On the other hand, when people take their sharing of information offline, it becomes unavailable to those of us who read all the posts on certain lists in hopes that an allied family name mentioned might be a lead to our lines. When you join a mailing list to an area rather than to a surname, you will read messages which appear to have no ties, but that is the nature of such a broad list. It is my hope that we can keep as much information out in the open for present or future list subscribers (message archives) can see them. I receive many emails in a day's time. I use the delete key often, and it does not seem like much of a burden if someday I run across a piece of vital information. dh ----- Original Message ----- From: <Suelwright@aol.com> To: <TXNACOGD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2006 4:52 PM Subject: Re: [TXNAC] Re: Lathan/Latham/Lathen Family, Nacodoches Cou > Can people correspond directly with each other when they are working on > the > same family without cluttering up everybody's mail with ten emails. > >
