    3. Martha Jeffanan Jacobs is the daughter of Claiborne Jacobs & Sarah E. Fewell, who were married 1 Jan 1857. Claiborne is the son of James & Mary Chisum Jacobs. You were just one generation off. James & Mary are the grandparents --- not parents. Are you familiar with NACOGDOCHES--GATEWAY TO TEXAS? There are three volumes -- one contains data from 1773 to 1849; two contains data from 1850 to 1880, and three [in two volumes] contains data from 1881 to 1920.
