This man has eluded me for a long time. Here's what I know about him: William M Bruce, b.Scotland 1813/4. Married to Edy(Edith...last name possibly 'Bean'). First child Mary born in Texas (I'm assuming Nacog. county) in 1842. Was in Arkansas by 1850 census, and Marshall, Harrison County, Tx. by 1880 census and died there. What I WANT to know is where in Nacog county Mary was born, where they settled. Did he come to USA by himself or did siblings come with him? Who are his siblings....parents? You know, the usual info we go after. All I can find is an index listing him on a tax record. Knowing his parents names would at least get me across the water.
