V Lynch Shaw Hello, In Carolyn Reeves Ericson, compiler, "Nacogdoches -- Gateway to Texas Volume I: 1779-1849 (Revised Edition); A Biographical Directory" (Nacogdoches, Texas: Ericson Books, 1991) the following references are found: Linch, Moses - 1837 tax list. Lynch M. - 1840 tax list. Lynch, Stephen - Character Certificate 1835, widower with family; resident since 1835. Power-of-attorney 3 January 1828. Mexican Land Grant 15 December 1835 - 1 League and 1 Labor, location unknown. No entries for Linch/Lynch were found in volume II. Volume III also has 2 entries for Lynch. I have not asked permission to do lookups in volume III as it is a very new release. It is available in many libraries with Texas genealogy collections and from <http://www.ericsonbooks.com> on CD or in print. The entries above are good clues to finding the original records. Many of these records are available via inter-library loan from the ETRC [East Texas Research Center] at SFASU, Nacogdoches http://libweb.sfasu.edu/etrc/etrchome.htm Good luck with your research. I hope this helps. -- Regards, Debbie --- Debbie Parker Wayne <genealogy@etxquest.com> Nacogdoches TXGenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~txnacogd/
