I have a little book called "Appleby," written by James Vard Melton. In it, there are references to A. B. Stoddard as an early Railroad Agent, and it also has a picture of the Stoddard family which looks as though it may have been taken circa 1910 which shows Lillie Stoddard McLain, A. B. Stoddard, Lulu Stoddard, Bill, Dick and A. B. Jr. Lillie Stoddard was married to my uncle, Greer McLain, and we lived next door to Miz Lulu Stoddard during the thirties. Later, she lived with Aunt Lillie and Uncle Greer until her death.
