Her father, James Oscar Vaught b.Feb 23, 1897- d. Feb.23, 1978 in Shelby county, told her that his G.F., Peter Vaught, I have no dates- came from Nacogdoches. My G.F. also told my mother that Peter had three brothers and that two of them moved out of state but that Peter and his other brother stayed around Nacogdoches. Peter's son was Pinckney Vaught, again no dates. I have looked at the cemetery records in Nacogdoches and haven't found anything on a Peter Vaught. Pinckney, we were told by my G.F. was buried in Ore City in Upshur county. I haven't found anything in Upshur county on any Vaught's. If anyone knows of any Vaught history or knows of any Vaught's please contact me. My mother has 11 brother's and sister's and they have a Vaught family reunion every April in the Stockman community just outside of Timpson. I am trying to find our history for our reuion. My mother's oldest sibling is 82 and my mother, the youngest in the family, is 62. Any help from someone knowing anything would be greatly appreciated.
