In researching my Willis Bentley family, I found it necessary to research the Whitmel Bentley line since they had been in Nacogdoches Co., Tx. for such a long period of time before my Bentley family settled there around 1870-71. I believe that the two families may connect way back in the time of late 1700's-early 1800's, but it will take time to prove it out. Thanks for the information.
