    3. Helynn, You are scanning at to high a resolution. When you set up your scanner for scanning a photo to send over email use resolution of 100 bpi or less. This is entirely adequate to send a clear color photo or what ever. The higher the resolution scanned the bigger the file that you save it in and so the longer it takes to send to recipient and the longer it takes them to download the file. Also send photos over email using the .jpg format. This also saves space as it compresses the file and the recipient 's computer will uncompress it.
