    3. Nacogdoches Co. Cemtery Records, Vol. V, Carolyn Ericson gives this information on page 123, Miscellaneous Records. Tannery, Mary Francis - died 6 Oct 1920, age 28 years (C. M.) C. M. stands for Cason Monk Funeral Home. I checked the 1920 census and only found Clifton W. on p. 130 (Davis-Ericson 1920 Nacogdoches Co. Census) Household No. 34-46 Tannery, Clifton W. Head. Rents, M W 47 Widower, TX AL NC, Barber Redland Shop Son Lestor 20 Son O. L 15 Son Clifton 13 Daughter Pauline 11 Son Virgil 9 All children and parents born TX. There is a Will T. Price age 32 on the next page No other names ring a bell. I find no Tannerys in 1910 I don't find an Ed Price in either year. I do have a Maggie Lloyd on my database, but not that she married a Price. Maggie, born 1886, died 1977, married about 1905 is the daughter of Thomas J. Lloyd and Ophelia Elizabeth Lyles. That doesn't work. By the age of the children, if, Mary Francis were the wife of Clifton, it appears that he might have had three wives. Clifton W. b. 20 Jun 1871, d. 11 Jun 1957; Married Mattie M. Covington. They were buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches. Mattie M. Covington b. 15 June 1883, d. 27 Aug 1919. Since Mattie M. died in 1919 about the same time frame as Mary Frances, this does not work either. Mary Frances was too young to have those children on the census and I remembered seeing another wife buried with him. False alarm. Just wanted you to know that I tried. I do have some Lloyd information, but apparently did not connect. Betty ----- Original Message ----- From: Gene Tannery <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 17, 2000 7:55 PM Subject: Mary Frances Tannery - nee Price > My nephew, Clif Tannery, found Mary Frances Tannery in the Misc. files of the Cason & Monk Funeral Home, Nacodoches, Texas. Her death certificate shows that she was married but did indicate to whom. He found some source that led him to believe she was buried in or around Chireno, Texas. Her Parents were Ed Price and Maggie Lloyd. She died one day and buried the next, October 6th and 7th 1920, aged 28 years. Which Tannery did she marry? What Cemetery was she buried in? Who were her parents? After 36 years of intensive research for the Tannerys in Deep-East Texas, especially Nacogdoches County, the publication of my family history, THE TANNERYS, YOUNG AND OLD, I have never before found these names. Any help appreciated. > > Ora E. "Gene" Tannery > 1504 N. San Jacinto St. > Conroe, Texas 77301-1944 > 409-756-2026 > [email protected] > > > > >
