I received my Nacogdoches Genealogical Society "Yesterdays" in the mail yesterday. I was interested to see - in the Forehand Bible - at the bottom - J. H. F. Thomason was born May 26, 1826. Following that, there is Mary A. Thomason was born May 16, 1834. That would work for a Mary listed as a child of James Marion McKnight b. abt. 1835, TN. (Nacogdoches -- Gateway To Texas). Jacob H. F. Thomason was the son of David Thomason and his wife Jane Hamil. This Bible record shows Thomas Henry Forehand, born September, 1838 in Tuscumbia Colbert Co., AL, died 25 Dec 1917 Karnes Co., TX. His wife was Martha J. Thomason I have Jacob H. F. Thomason b. 26 May 1826 m. 5 Dec 1850 Mary Ann McKnight. They have a daughter, Martha J. born abt 1853. Would this Martha been the wife of Thomas Henry Forehand above? That might explain whey her parent birthdates would be in this Bible. However, that would make Thomas Henry Forehand about 15 years older than Martha J. Not all that unusual in those days. Does anyone have any information on this family other than is in "Yesterdays?" I find no Forehand information in any of the Nacogdoches Co. books I have checked. Betty
