Hi Cyndi, Could be either. Mine went from Logan Co, AR to Black Jack, Nacogdoches Co, TX in 1891. They also traveled with the Luman's. I heard there was no wagon road or trail. They rode horseback or walked. Don't know if thats true or not. Seems there should have been some kind of trail as it was a route into TX that many had traveled.
