My Roberts line migrated from VA to TN to LA to TX. My ggggggrandfather John Roberts, brother of Elisha Roberts was born in TN. He later migrated to St. Tammany Parish (later known as Washington Parish), LA when their father George Roberts migrated to LA where he died. Elisha Roberts migrated to St. Tammany Parish via Kentucky where he married Martha Patsy Gill. John Roberts' son, John S. Roberts eventually made it to Washington Parish after the War of 1812. He later was Sheriff in Natchitoches Parish, LA. He later went on to Sabine, then San Augustine, then ended up in Nacogdoches.
