I would like to ask for a look up if anyone has the book, Antonia Gil Y'Barbo- Father of Nacogdoches As far as I know none of my ancestors are in the book but I have a mystery ancestor his name is Fountian G.(Garcir , Garcia) McDonald. He was bn abt 1829 supposedly from Va. but rumor is that he killed a man in a barroom brawl while attending Medical school, and he ran to Natchidoches La. I first find him in 1852 in Natchitoches La. Married to Caroline E Carroll from that Parish. They had one child in Sabine Parish in 1853 and the last one in Houston county Tx in 1855. He was a medical doctor. He is listed in the 1860 census of Houston county. He vanished or died there in that county in 1864 or he could have been apprehended by the law. I have found he was in the Masonic Lodge there in Houston co. Him being a Dr. you would think he would leave a paper trail 2 miles wide but not so. What I am asking if he has Garcia and McDonald in his name he may come out of the people listed in the book abt Nacogdoches co. I have been told both these names are in the book. I am asking for someone to see if he could be listed in the book. Thanks Richard Sharp
