I would like to know more about the book that is out on Nacogdoches. I saw an e-mail at one time that mentioned the price and the Nacogdoches Genealogy Society. Could someone give me the address and phone number of this society and how to get this book. I need to know how to get in touch with them. I would like to know if my family is mentioned in this book before purchasing it. My Fortenberry's lived in Nach. when my GG Grandmother was a child. She was Cecila Ann Fortenberry and she was born in Miss. in 1838. I believe that she and her siblings were in the school census there. She married a Henry B. Miller while in Nach., I think and they had two children. I don't know what happened to Henry B. Miller but after their two children were born, he must have died just about the time of the Civil War. I think they were married in 1858. I am descended from Cecila Ann and her second husband, Redden H. Johnson. I wonder if any of the Johnson family are mentioned in this book. Redden's parents were Joseph Johnson and Martha Bryant Johnson. My Cecila Ann {sometimes spelled with an S instead of a C}parents were Jacob Fortenberry and Emma Earlene Hix or Hicks Fortenberry.
