Digging through my grandmothers picture boxes, I found several pictures involving the Little Flock School around 1915. I have a vague idea where Little Flock was but can't locate it on any Nacogdoches County maps that I have. One of the pictures I have is of 27 children from ages 6 or 7 to late teens. One is my father at about 10-12 and his two brothers -- one 2 years older and the other 2 years younger. Three of the pictures are at a flag pole with the school in the background. One of the three contains five girls and my Uncle J.D. Ballard. Another is of a young Bertha Boozer and the other has been identified as a woman teacher name not remembered. The other two pictures have a door and a wall of the school as the backdrop with six girls in one and three girls in the other. One of the three has been identified as Nannie Mae Hill.
