    1. Re: [TXNAC] Where are Nacogdoches death certificates 1903-1930?
    2. Allene Schooler
    3. According to my elderly "Handy Book for Genealogists" the county clerk for Nacogdoches has birth and death records from 1903, marriage, probate, and civil court records from 1837, land records from 1833 and applications for land grants from 1835. John E Spencer, age 30, Martha A, Gladdis D [Dye?] and Martha's mother; Margaret A Potts are in Angelina county 1910 census. Record indicates that John and Martha had been married 9 years. This record stated he was born in England as well as his parents. Came to US in 1881, naturalized citizen, cook at restaurant. Possibly check Galveston for Spencer passengers? The Potts family not found in 1880 or 1900 records which would possibly help in placing John E Spencer's whereabouts in 1900 as it appears they married about 1901. I possibly have found the Wm A Spencer family you mentioned in the Dawes records in the 1900 census in Chickasaw Nation with a wife named Emaline and a son named Andrew. Wm and "Emily" were in Hood county in 1880. Have you checked all the transcribed documents in Angelina and Nacogdoches county on Rootsweb? I do not find any children born in Nacog county to an Andrew Spencer. Paula
