I was getting my information through Danny son of John Loyd & Robyn (Betts) Acrey. So it not surprising that there are discrepancies as Robyn was just giving him information over the phone as she was talking to him. She gave Ruth's maiden name as Hogue so I've been off on a tangent there. If you don't mind I'd like to get inf. from you on Marvin & Darlene's children. Darlene is verey close to death from cancer. Several days ago they were only giving her 3 days. Do you know anything about Darlenes parents etc.? Robyn said

Simon Brehm who lived in Nacogdoches between 1912 and 1919. He was a watchmaker and jeweler and may have had a small store. They came to Texas from Attica, Kansas, and left Texas to go to Douglas, Arizona. It is possible that Margaret Stout, grandmother of Bertha, was living with them. Two of their infant children died while they lived in Texas. Brehm was known as "Allen Brehm".
Tom, in the book Nacogdoches County Families 1985 Article F483 by Linda Stuart Hill lists a Dr William D.Holleman. American ancestors of this family were Christopher and Mary Holleman(original spelling Hollyman) They both died around 1691 and are buried in Isle of Wight, Virginia Children William,Christopher Jr.,Thomas,John,Mary, and Ann. Josiah John Holleman, patriarch of theTexas families was born in Va. in 1786. He married Jane(called Jenny)in Tn. She was born in Ky. about 1792 Families of Holleman;Koonce;Woolverton, and Crow moved from Tn to Texas around 1845-1850 and settled in Rusk and Nacogdoches Counties. Josiah John Holleman died about 1866 and his wife within a few years. They were buried in a family plot on their farm--which has become Holleman Cemetery. Two large cedar trees marked their graves. All had large families--decendants include Koonce;Parker;Crow;Davis;Clayton;Moore;Vaughn;Pruitt;Woolverton;Fussell;Stuart, and many others. Hope some of this helps, Mary/East Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: <tvaughn54@hotmail.com> To: <TXNACOGD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2005 10:12 PM Subject: [TXNAC] Hiram Edward Holleman, Aug. 27, 1882 - 1918 > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Holleman, Fussell > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kkB.2ACE/992 > > Message Board Post: > > Looking for information on the family of Hiram Edward (Edd) Holleman, Aug. > 27, 1882 - 1918. > > Edd married Arrie Fussell on Nov 13, 1904 in Rusk County, Texas.
