The Luis Sanchez league is just NNW of Nacogdoches, slightly above Caro in Nacogdoches County. A old plat of the league (probably from 1840s) shows the "road from the saline to Pecan Point" and references Sanchez' home as "Casa de Vivienda." Does anyone have any information about either of these references? Gary Pinkerton 409.201.8026

The project has also been registered with the Family Tree DNA project, which provides the kits and testing for project participants. By registering as a family project, the cost of the kit is reduced for participants. The project is new and results from the first participants should be available in about 8 weeks. In 1821, Aden Bunch and David Roberts were granted a license to operate a ferry across the Red River at Fulton, on Trammel's Trace. By 1824, Aden Bunch was in Nacogdoches and accused of murder by Nick Trammel. Does anyone in Hempstead Co, AR or Nacogdoches, TX have any more detail about Aden Bunch?
