    1. BANKHEAD to McADAMS to HALSEL, David to WINTERS
    2. Carol Johnson & Richard Greene
    3. Good evening to all from not-so-sunny California! Apologies to all for the "cross-posting" of this inquiry. But I can't seem to find where my umpteenth great-uncle, David S. HALSEL, owned this land. (Deed abstract follows) Richard BANKHEAD heirs, John and Mary McADAMS, sold land to David S. HALSEL, who later sold it to John WINTERS. Altho the Deed was recorded in Walker Co, hand-written in the margin of the deed is the notation "S.J.Co.". To cap it all off, David later attested he had owned land in Montgomery Co!!! Can anyone help me unravel all this? I'd be most grateful for any information or guidance. Regards, Carolyn Carter Johnson (mailto:rhunterg@ix.netcom.com) I've just posted this in full to the Genconnect Board for Walker Co.
