    3. Hi Cindy, Many thanks for your kind reply! I'm not "all" sure of anything about the "WILLIAM SANDERS" the deed refers to. But I'm "sorta" sure the property was along the San Jacinto river, and in a place where it might have been mistaken for Montgomery, Walker or San Jacinto Co. But the GenWeb archives show a William Sanders as having a head right in Montgomery co, so I think that's where it was. The deed I found was one where the 150 acre parcel owned by VARDEMAN HALSEL was being sold in 1851 by the tax collector of Walker co for non-payment of taxes. And I only found that deed by going one frame at a time thru the LDS film. Anything about the earlier deed from SANDERS to HALSEL would be very, very welcome!
