I am looking for descendants of Hans P. HERNDON (1868-1936) and Martha Elizabeth “Pattie” DUNHAM HERNDON (1875-1934). Hans and Martha Elizabeth were married in Montgomery Co, TX on 28 April 1891 (Mar Bk 5 Pg 224) and are buried in the Splendora Cemetery, Splendora, Montgomery Co., TX. Martha Elizabeth Dunham was born 20 October 1875 in Lavaca Co., TX to John H. DUNHAM and Martha Elizabeth MEYER DUNHAM who were married in Lavaca Co., TX on 31 December 1874. Martha E. MEYER DUNHAM died 5 November 1875 and is buried at Providence Cemetery in Lavaca Co. Her daughter Martha Elizabeth was placed in the care of her aunt, Mary Ann MEYER. In the early 1880’s the Meyers moved to Willis, Montgomery Co., TX. Some stayed, some returned to Lavaca Co. I am specifically trying to find more information on Martha Elizabeth DUNHAM’s father, John H. DUNHAM, though I would be glad to learn more about the family that stayed in Montgomery Co.
