HELP is needed for the upcoming History Book of Montgomery County. At this point, besides the Vol. 2, we foresee Vol. 3 & 4. If you can spare any time, please let one of us know. Areas that once belonged to Madison, Waller, San Jacinto and Grimes, we really need help. So if you are in any of these counties, let us hear from you. Besides, family history, we are looking for maps, old newspapers, court records, black history, hispanic history, church, civic, and the list goes on. I am working on cemetery history. If someone has an office they could donate, that would really be great. The society office is too small to store all the data and have meetings also. And with it being located in the library, limits the hours that us working people can help. TIPS on writing your history: 1. Families "who never seem to get around to it" will be sadly disappointed when they see the book and their family isn't included. Remember: You are the history of Montgomery County Texas.
