We will have an update on plans for the "Texas Genealogy and Family History Fair" to be held at the Walker County Fairgrounds on June 23rd. Verna Banes has initiated a "Phone Book" project as a part of the Fair. You are asked to bring any old telephone books you may have. These phone books can be from anywhere, not just local. These phone books will be placed on the "Freebie Table" at the fair to be given to anyone who may be interested. These old phone books are sometimes a great source for locating genealogical and family contacts. If you have some of these books to donate, please bring them to the meeting on Saturday. Also, if you have not already done so, please send in your registration for the Fair so we can get your surnames in the "Surname Booklet" to be distributed at the fair.
