    3. William Nelson PATE and wife, Clarkey Lucy McDANIEL Oliver Pate were in Montgomery County before August 1872 when their 5th child was born. Both grew up in Decatur County, Georgia, but were married in Jackson County, Florida.----------I am descended from their son, Andrew Lidden PATE I, born Nov. 1866 in Florida. Maximillian WALLACE and his wife, Salena RUMBY, were married in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, and were in Montgomery County before their daughter, Mary Frances's, marriage to Jehu MOORE in May 1869. Jehu MOORE (born about 1840) was in Montgomery County before the Civil War began.(Based on the fact that he served in the Texas Calvary and received a Texas Confederate pension). He had another family before his marriage to Mary Frances WALLACE. I would like to know the particulars of this second family as revealed in Montgomery County records for the settlement of the Jehu MOORE estate which occurred in the 1960s, I believe. Daughter, Clara MOORE, married (1) Andrew Lidden PATE I as his second wife. Mary 'Polly' Berry EVERITT Dunbar Moore, the mother of Jehu MOORE, was in Montgomery County by the time she appeared on the 1880 Montgomery County Census. She was related to other EVERITTS/EVERETTS who settled in Montgomery County. Polly Berry was born in Bulloch County, Georgia. She grew up in Washington County, Alabama, and was living in Mobile when the Civil War broke out. Both her husband and oldest son were missing from the Mobile home on the 1860 census. Other children of Polly Berry Moore also resided in Montgomery County: Sarah EVERITT Loustanou Sanders, Josephean Gaines EVERITT Martin, and Elmina EVERITT Currier MaryAnn PATE Hormuth Permanent e-mail forwarding address: MPateHorm@alumni.utexas.net
