Roberta Pruett Jefferson, here. I was born and raised in Montgomery County. Graduated from CHS in '62. My Roots are deep set there. >From my maternal grandmothers line: Dec. 5, 1849, my GGrandfather, John Goodson, Sr. was born in Montgomery County. >From my paternal grandmothers line: Her younger brother Osborn Whiddon, was born Oct. 16, 1894, in Montgomery County. I have my GGrandmother's, Amanda Pricilla Williamson Goodson, old photo album on line. Please check it out and see if there are any of these ol' photos that you have seen before. If you can ID any of them, please write back. I'm sure most of these people were from Montgomery County. Amanda, moved there about 1860, at the age of 8 yrs. old and died there, March 2, 1913. link: http://geocities.com/amandagoodson There is also a short story about her families migration from South Carolina to Texas, then on to Montgomery County. Amanda Pricilla Williamson Goodson & husband John Goodson Sr. are buried in the Oklahoma Settlement Cemetery. TIA, for any information on Photos, Family or Related Families. I am always happy to exchange information.
